3.1 DNS
DNS (Domain Name System) works like a phonebook for the Internet by translating human-friendly computer hostnames into IP addresses.
For example, thanks to DNS, the name “www.debian.org” will be tranlsted into the IP address “213.129.232.18” and vice-versa.
